314 White Day （ホワイトデー）

今日は短い英語の日記を書きます

単語の意味1つ1つより、全体な意味がわかれば問題ないです
要は、英語の文章に慣れましょう～

Today, 14th March is White Day in Japan.
I am sure every Japanese knows what is White Day, but actually this was quite a culture shock to me when I first learn about it.
We know 14th February is Valentine's Day.
But do you know that Japan's way of celebrating Valentine's Day is quite different from other countries all over the world ?

In my country, we celebrate Valentine's Day on 14th February too, but in a different way.
Normally it's not the women who gives out present to the men, but the other way round.
It's always the men who takes the innitiave to give out presents to someone they think who are special to them.
It's also not a culture for women to confess her feeling to someone she likes on this day.
It's always the men who takes the first move.
And, there is no White Day !!
Valentine's Day is a day for couples, so we don't give out chocolates or presents to people other than boyfriend (or maybe husband?) or person we like.

I can't be too sure about ALL the countries in the world but i bet more than 90% of it celebrates it the same way as my country.
I must say that Japan is very special indeed.
